It should be noted that we do experience altered states of consciousness all the time; throughout the day, while we sleep, while we dream. Granted, these are typically mild alterations and generally do not call much attention unto themselves, so we hardly notice them as such! But when we do, it is because they are so obviously different to our “normal” states of functioning. And because they often lack a frame of reference by which to be validated and understood, (and creating a reference for such experiences is commonly something that I do during spiritual or psychic emergence counselling sessions) that they are commonly deemed to be “abnormal” according to the Western narrative. Now, to be clear, the Western narrative is the perspective of the materialist that was foremost introduced. What often happens, especially in academia is that something is typically dismissed or discredited if it cannot be accounted for they’re way. Because consciousness is at best suggested to be a function of the brain, altered states are stigmatized, marginalized and medicalized (…)
It has come to my attention that the true meaning of “spirituality” is becoming lost in translation- that contemporary trends and commercialization of all things deemed “spiritual” is essentially misrepresentative.
Spirituality is not a trend, and nor should it be, lest we allow for our deception and further the work required to shed the false “self”...
Everything is Energy; Energy is everything, fundamentally.
Reduce anything down into progressively smaller parts, scale down molecularly, atomically, sub-atomically; now go quantum. Soon enough we will find “nothing” left to reduce; only space. Albeit, it is not empty after all, but packed and charged. Literally charged; its energy. The quantum realm is where reality gets weird. It’s the domain of paradox...
There exists an important distinction to be made between what we call belief and what we experience as knowing.
This post is intended to encourage you to make the leap from the former to the latter...
Human beings have embraced many truth-seeking practices over time: Shamanism, philosophy, organized religion and science. Shamanism embraced the realm of Spirit and its involvement in the physical, suggesting a rather pliable understanding of what "reality" is. Philosophy sought to inquire about the physical world, our existence, the human experience, including the nature and role of "God".

Mindfulness conveys to us a great service in the way that it enables us to experience ourselves; or at least, the content of one's mind. Mindfulness in it's most basic of forms enables the observer to recognize themselves as that; and not as the mind or its content.
It begins by choosing to experience something different from the usual neuroticism and machinations of the untrained mind...
There's an entire universe within you.
Within you lies the potential of that which is yet to be seen as well as the blueprint for all that you already see. Within you exists the power to shape your experience; to create, change and destroy realities. In some it has awoken and in some it remains asleep. In some it is claimed, while in others it is disowned.
You can be anything, or anyone, see (..)
All life, whether or not it has assumed form is an expression of Spirit. Spirit goes by many names, often specific to cultures and their respective belief systems though ultimately, each name points to that which is but to an expression of Divinity. One Being, many faces...
How are you to know anything if you do not stop to listen? Perhaps you speak some and then speak some more in a dedicated (and perhaps unconscious) effort to keep the Void at bay. Are you really so unwilling to stand in yourself and be with the silence that is seeking its emergence? ...
